Justice Prevails. Ex-priest gets prison for sex assaults

July, 2020: Bucks County Judge Jeffrey Finley sentenced Trauger to 18-36 months in prison

In 2012 a civil lawsuit was filed by Dan Monahan against Francis Trauger for abusing a young boy in Bucks County.  Unfortunately, the lawsuit was eventually dismissed when the Pennsylvania Superior Court refused to adopt the argument that the civil Statute of Limitations for childhood sexual assault was suspended until such time that the survivor understood the nature and extent of the harm suffered.

However, justice has now been served at least in part with the criminal conviction and sentence to prison of ex-priest Francis Trauger, currently residing in Brooklyn New York.  In July 2020, Bucks County Judge Jeffrey Finley sentenced Trauger to 18-36 months in prison and two years of consecutive probation, have no contact with the survivors or any persons under the age of 18, and must register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law.
